2010 Chairman’s Handicap Preview

February 12th, 2010

The Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival is upon us, which means the illustrious Australian Derby Day is drawing even closer, providing a plethora of Group races on the 10th of April.

Headlining the day’s proceedings will be the Group 1 Australian Derby (2400m) which will have $1.3 million in prize money this year.

The running of the 2010 Chairman’s Handicap will be another race to watch once again this year, as the Group 2 event draws horses at least three years old to compete at the Royal Randwick Racecourse.

The open handicap is very much a staying event spanning 2,600 metres meaning the entrants need to have a lot of stamina to cross that finishing line.

The starters at the 2010 Chairman’s Handicap will be competing for a share in the $150,000 on offer.
